During a meeting this Wednesday April 14 between the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Zurab Pololikashvili and the Moroccan Ambassador to Spain, Karima Benyaich, Mr. Pololikashvili welcomed the level of tourist infrastructure available in Morocco, its quality of reception and its position in Africa as a tourist destination of reference.
He expressed the will of his Organization to further promote African tourist destinations through dedicated programs with the support of Morocco, said the press release from the Moroccan diplomatic representation in Spain.
This meeting was an opportunity to see the progress of the preparations for the 24th General Assembly of the UNWTO which will take place in Marrakech in the fall of 2021.
In parallel with this meeting, the National Airports Office (ONDA) announced this morning the suspension by the Moroccan authorities of its airspace with 13 new European countries and that from this Friday, April 16, 2021 until a new order. These countries are: Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia.
These 13 countries are added to Tunisia, France, Spain.
Reminder: passengers traveling from these countries through another country are also concerned.
