From February 04, 2021, Morocco launched its vaccination campaign by inoculating King Mohamed VI. Unprecedented in its magnitude, it will stretch over twelve weeks, after which 80% of those over 17 will have received their dose. 3 000 vaccination centers will be allocated to the campaign on the territory and 25 000 people mobilized. A free companion for all citizens and residents in Morocco.

The ministry had indicated that the Kingdom is working to acquire 66 million doses of "Sinopharm" and "AstraZeneca" vaccines for 33 million people. On January 22, the Health Department reported that Morocco had received 2 million doses of the "AstraZeneca" vaccine and a first batch of "Sinopharm" which includes 500 000 doses.

More injections will be delivered to the kingdom, not by a country, but by an international  organization called Covax, an estimated order of 1 881 600 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, produced by South Korean company SK Bioscience.

It should be noted that the operation of national scope, initially targets health professionals over 40, public and military authorities as well as teachers over 45, but also people over the age of 75 years old.

Until February 07, 2021 evening, Morocco recorded more than 475 355 people are affected by the coronavirus in Morocco, including 8 394 deaths and 454 504 recoveries.
